Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association (SMPA)
The Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association (SMPA),
a NALA affiliated association, welcomes members from any location
in the state of Tennessee and surrounding states, yet its focus
is on the paralegals in the East Tennessee area from the Cumberland
Plateau to the eastern, northeastern, and southeastern borders
of the state of Tennessee.
Membership in the Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association
is open to paralegals, students in paralegal programs, attorneys,
law firms, corporations and businesses promoting the paralegal
profession, and educational institutions providing paralegal
programs based on the requirements approved by the Executive

Annual Seminar
held June 12-13, 2009
SMPA held its Annual Seminar for 2009 at the Sheraton Read
House Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Attendees received up
to 7.5 CLE hours and all had a very good time with the Mardi
Gras theme.
